Positive reinforcement through visible dreams
Critics of social media will argue that people aren’t really as happy and picture-perfect as their accounts’ display them to be.
But I don’t think that’s fundamentally a bad thing.
The world is how you perceive it, and you have a huge influence over your perception.
Who do you want to be? How do you want to become that person?
At the moment of conception of our future selves, we’re all fakes — dreamers.
Dreams seem to be happy and picture-perfect.
Social media posts are like visible dreams.
People are just trying to make social commitments in order to reinforce to their dream persona.
What you tell the world, so you become.
